Naples is one of the premier vacation destinations in the United States. Visitors from all over North America and Europe are attracted to the climate, the beautiful beaches and the overall ambiance that Naples has to offer.For those into the sporting life, golf, tennis, boating, fishing, and yes, even ice hockey at nearby TECO arena, provide opportunities for recreation and relaxation.
The arts are well represented in our community. The Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts offers a full schedule of activities for the performing arts. The Naples Museum of Art and the von Liebig Art Center are rich sources for the visual arts. The private art galleries around Fifth Avenue and Third Street are too numerous to mention. Sugden Community Theatre in downtown Naples is home to the Naples Players, a local theater group with much professional talent. The Naples Dinner Theater in north Naples presents off Broadway musicals and comedies.
During the season from November to April, Naples is host to many arts and craft shows which are usually held in the downtown area. Most notable is the juried Naples National Art Festival held during
February with 250 exhibitors. Many of the artists at this show have also exhibited at the Coconut Grove Art Show in Coconut Grove (near Miami) the previous weekend.
For those who enjoy eating out, Naples has an abundance of fine restaurants. Whether you prefer a fine dining experience or just something quick and casual, you are sure to find any number of establishments that will please your palate.
